Market research & competitor mapping

The grant aids in conducting market analysis and identifying competitors, crucial steps in verifying the competitiveness of a new innovation on a global scale. The assessment of competitiveness is influenced by existing market solutions. Through an extensive "desktop" research, we evaluate potential competitors, their functionalities, and market potential. Conceptualization & growth consulting

The grant supports the initial conceptualization of a product or service, encompassing the design and visualization of the primary user interface. What are the restrictions on the use of this grant?

​The grant is specifically designed to support new, innovative ideas that have not yet entered the market. It cannot be applied towards:

• Enhancing or modifying existing products or services for internal use within a company.
• General business growth or the expansion of current sales models, including franchising.
• Compensation for personal salary expenses.
• Sectors only eligible for de minimis funding, such as primary agriculture, fishing, and aquaculture.
• Services indirectly related to innovation, like generic business consultancy, sales and marketing strategies, staff training, or advice on standard IT solutions (e.g., websites, e-commerce platforms, mobile sales tools, ERP, and financial management systems).

​This ensures the grant focuses on fostering genuine innovation and development projects.

Is my company guaranteed to receive €6,000 immediately after the subsidy is approved?

The funding is provided by Business Finland. While the funding method might seem direct, it operates through a reimbursement model. Your company is required to settle two separate payments to Digiole, each amounting to €3,000 plus a 24% VAT. Following these payments and the submission of the final report, Business Finland will disburse €6,000 to your company.

Does the grant include a requirement for self-financing?

Indeed, the grant incorporates a self-financing requirement of €1,500. Business Finland will provide the remaining €4,500 of the grant total.

What conditions disqualify a company from receiving the grant?

The innovation voucher is not available under several conditions, including if your company:

• Has been in operation for over five years.
• Qualifies as a medium-sized or large enterprise.
• Is registered as a business name, or operates as a public entity, non-profit organization, foundation, or association.
• Is based in the Åland Islands.
• Seeks the voucher solely for exploring new export markets without concrete internationalization strategies.
