The "Employment Effects of the Digital Platform Economy" project, funded by the Helsinki-Uusimaa Region through the AKKE program, aimed to analyse the impact of the digital platform economy on employment, particularly within the Helsinki region.
This initiative focused on understanding how the platform economy influences job opportunities and identifying specific challenges encountered by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in this area. Additionally, the project contributed to the discourse on platform business models by introducing a novel concept that aids in distinguishing and categorizing various types of these models.
